April 18-21

As parents of children in our schools, you are likely quite well informed of our schools’ philosophies, programming, and rankings, however, you may still have questions about the upcoming May 2 levy. If you, or your friends and neighbors, are interested in attending a presentation and Q & A session to get more details about district revenues and spending, you can attend any one of the scheduled meetings throughout the community. A list of dates, locations, and times can be found by clicking the following link: http://www.aurora-schools.org/Content2/292.

If you are unable to attend one of the live meetings, but would
like to hear more, you can check out a virtual presentation at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGtMTUc46e0&feature=em-upload_owner

Additional fact sheets and data can be found on our main web page at: www.aurora-schools.org (Levy 2107 Information Tab).

For the week of 4/18/17
What We’re Learning This Week:

Reading: We will be reading the story, “Frog and Toad are Friends.” Students will work on retelling the story, including key details and demonstrate their understanding of the central message or lesson. Additionally, we will focus on describing the characters, setting, and major events of this story. We’ll be continuing guided reading and Daily 5/Centers. As always, we’ll be reading poetry weekly for fluency and expression practice.

*Please continue to read your child’s book-in-a-bag nightly with them.
