Feb. 27-March 3

For the week of February 27
What We’re Learning This Week:

Reading: The students will be reading 2 different passages, “Tess the Turtle” and “Jake and Anna”. We will focus on asking and answering key details in a story, as well as, naming the character, setting and events in the story. We will also focus on summarizing information. As always, we will be reading poetry for fluency and expression practice.

*Please continue to read your child’s book-in-a-bag nightly with them.

Writing: The students are going to use everything they learned during the 3rd quarter about informational writing, and write their final On Demand Informational book. They will have 45 minutes and their score will be reflected on the report card. Their writing will need to include a topic, give facts, and provide a sense of closure.
